*******英國歌手, 原是英國偶像團體 Take That 的成員, 後來團體解散, 他成為獨自歌手, 現在是英國最紅的藝人之一.全名: Robert Peter Maximillian Williams / 1974年2月13日出生於 Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent (英格蘭北方小城)Take That是英國 1990成立的一個偶像團, 當年唱片公司想將美國的少男偶像團概念引進英國市場, 從很多申請者中刪選到最後五位小男生,當時條件是必須能歌能舞, 當然由於市場關係(小女生), 外表身材也都挑選過. Take That 90年代在英國非常紅, 是90年代最紅的流行偶像團體.Robbie 一直都是團裡最叛逆, 扮演那個比較壞的角色, 後來也傳說他跟其他團員在配合上有些問題. 於是 Take That就 解散。大家都看好主場 Gary Barlow, Robbie 則比較低調.Robbie 在 That That 解散後不斷的玩, 參加很多派對, 跟很多美女搞緋聞. 其中鬧出他吸毒/酒醉/貪吃三大問題 (他惹了不少禍, 也變很胖), 當時看樣子是沒什麼音樂希望了. 不過他後來進了戒毒中心, 在 1996 出了新單曲 Freedom, 之後又出 Old before I die, 都賣的不錯.1997 年的單曲 Angels (專輯是 Life Thru a Lens) 讓他從偶像歌手的地位跳到創作歌手, 這張歌不但賣的非常好, 而且都是他筆下創作.他也因此成為英國TOP歌星.後來又出了「I’ve Been Expecting You」「 Sing When You’re Winning」 專輯。 其中 「Sing When You’re Winning」 意思來自足球 (球隊贏的時候就要高歌)， 「Swing When You’re Winning」 裡頭都是爵士老歌, Escapology 跟 Intensive Care 逐漸建立出自己的風格.他的合作夥伴, 之前是 Guy Chambers, 現在是 Stephen Duffy.
